HOOOOOOOOWL!

Dear SEA-PAH Community,

The Board of the Seattle Pups and Handlers would like to take a moment and address a few questions the community has been asking about when we will be in person and what that will look like. Currently there is a possibility of being completely open by June 30th. What does completely open mean? There is a lot of speculation but until the Governor defines that then we won’t really know.

We are also going to be waiting to see what our venues do and when they will be ready for us to come back. Venues can choose to still be restrictive by requiring everyone to be vaccinated, still requiring table service or social distancing, and limiting capacity just to name a few things. Right now we are waiting on our venues to see what the next steps are once they give us the green light we can talk about Social and Moshes again.

In the meantime, members are still more then welcome to host their own events like Hikes, Socials and game nights if they like. If you would like us to post in the Howl, Instahowl and pin in the barkroom chat you can email us at Board@seaph.org

SEA-PAH Meet and Sniff Social: Out and Proud!

Friday, June 11 at 7pm until 9pm

Please join us on Zoom for SEA-PAH's monthly Meet & Sniff Social, and it's Pride Month! Come meet and chat with your friends online. Show off your Pride gear and show off what makes you proud!

Monthly Board Meeting

Saturday, June 12 at 11am until 1pm

Take this opportunity to join your Board of Directors for the monthly SEA-PAH Board Meeting and take an active role in your community. This is, hands down, the BEST way to know what is currently happening in the SEA-PAH community and to offer your ideas and input for future plans and events! Links will be posted to the calendar the day of the event.

Monthly Virtual Mosh!

!!Cancelled!!

Due to online fatigue and the weather getting nicer, we are temporarily suspending online moshes. We completely get and understand sitting in front of a computer on a Saturday doesn’t sound the most exciting. We are hoping that very soon we will be able to have in person moshes. If there is an increased interest for an online mosh from the community, then we will bring moshes back sometime in the fall.

Information and details available here

Policies and Procedures Committee

There were a great many advisory votes made during the AGM in January and with the results in mind, the Board will be working on updating the policies and procedures of SEA-PAH. This will include proposing updates to the bylaws, codifying the standing rules, and other tasks related to the day to day operations of the organization. Why should you care, you're asking?  Because:

WE WANT YOU!  That's right!  We want members of the organization to come together with us and advise, help draft, and fine tune the language that will be submitted to the community for updates to our systems.  If you're interested in joining this committee, we ask that you email: bylaws@seapah.com and we will be in touch to schedule.  The first meeting of the Policies and Procedures Committee will take place in March, keep your ears perked in next month's HOWL for dates!

Barkroom Committee

Interested in the future of the barkroom?   Want to help guide and develop an open space for community communications?  Join us
